As we reported yesterday, Warframe developers Digital Extremes have revealed their next title.<\/p>\n

Soulframe is an MMORPG set in a fantasy world and which, unlike its fast-paced ninja shooter predecessor Warframe, will feature weighty melee combat and a focus on exploration.<\/p>\n

However, the gaming company didn’t just release a simple webpage with a summary of its goals\u00a0for the title’s release – instead, the webpage<\/strong><\/a> features a series of puzzles.<\/p>\n

This is actually pretty standard for Digital Extremes, a studio with a penchant for hiding information in complex and often-times obscure details.<\/p>\n

In this case, the first puzzle you’ll encounter on the page is relatively simple.<\/p>\n

If you’d like to try your hand at working it out yourself, now would be the time to stop reading, as there are spoilers below.<\/p>\n

If you’re still here, I’ll assume you’re either stumped or prefer to avoid the aggravation.<\/p>\n

The First Puzzle<\/h3>\n

The first puzzle is simple in its application and solving.<\/p>\n

It presents a simple cypher wheel you can turn to align specific runes with the letters above.<\/p>\n

Assuming you don’t just use trial and error, the key to this puzzle is to use the symbols above ‘ENVOYS OF’ to determine the right runes to select below ‘ODE SKY’.<\/p>\n

It’s a simple case of matching the letter and its corresponding rune, and once done, you have to click the side button, and the page will unlock.<\/p>\n

Below are the corrected six runes if you’d prefer not to fiddle.<\/p>\n

The Second Puzzle<\/h3>\n

Once you’ve solved the opening puzzle, the screen will offer a prompt to’ Journey onward’ at the bottom of the screen.<\/p>\n

From there, you’ll get three nice-looking images, a stylish title above the game’s cinematic trailer, and a place to sign up to reserve your prefered Envoy Title – character name, presumably.<\/p>\n

The sign-up is the main reason to solve the first puzzle, so from here on, all you’ll get is more obscure lore.<\/p>\n

This lore is found in the three lines of runic text below each image.<\/p>\n

Using the rune correlations with letters you have from the first puzzle, you can decipher what each line of text says.<\/p>\n

This will require some leaps of logic as not all the runes you’ll need are offered, but it’s not too hard to achieve.<\/p>\n

Below we’ve included each line of Runes and its English translation.<\/p>\n

There’s more<\/h3>\n

You’d think that after solving a puzzle and deciphering text you’d be done, but Digital Extremes isn’t finished with your grey cells yet.<\/p>\n

The next is far more obscure than the previous two, and most people will likely miss it.<\/p>\n

If you’d prefer the satisfaction of discovering it for yourself, you should stop reading and could try poking around the page and seeing what you can click on.<\/p>\n

Once you’ve found what you need to click on (I’ve included exact directions at the bottom of this section), you’ll be taken to a new image below the sign-up section.<\/p>\n

This new image features the moose entity featured in the cinematic trailer.<\/p>\n

Included with this moose is another line of runic text easy enough to translate.<\/p>\n

The tiny bird sitting on the ‘Soulframe’ title above the sign-up section is the correct place to click.<\/p>\n

The final set of puzzles, we hope, involves clicking somewhere on the screen to unlock a new section – we’ve included the precise directions again at the end.<\/p>\n

Once found and clicked, you are presented with a literal wall of runic text which, like with the three short lines in the second puzzle, must be translated. This is a lengthy process as you’ll have to work out which letters the new runes represent.<\/p>\n
