{"id":126023,"date":"2022-08-17T08:32:34","date_gmt":"2022-08-17T06:32:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/?p=126023"},"modified":"2022-08-17T08:32:34","modified_gmt":"2022-08-17T06:32:34","slug":"new-lord-of-the-rings-game-in-development","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/pc\/126023-new-lord-of-the-rings-game-in-development","title":{"rendered":"New Lord of the Rings game in development"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It has been <a href=\"https:\/\/www.take2games.com\/ir\/news\/private-division-announces-publishing-partnership-weta-workshop\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>revealed<\/strong><\/a> that a new Lord of the Rings game is in development by Take-Two Interactive through one of their publishing labels, Private Division, and Weta Workshop.<\/p>\n<p>According to the Head of Take-Two, Amie Wolken, this new game will offer a new and different Middle-Earth from what fans of the series have previously played.<\/p>\n<p>Weta Workshop is based in New Zealand and is notable for its involvement with the production of Peter Jackson&#8217;s The Lord of the Rings trilogy and the more recent Hobbit trilogy.<\/p>\n<p>The company specialises in special effects and prop-making.
