A Doom Eternal mod support portal might be on the way based on changes to the game\u2019s Steam backend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to SteamDB, on Tuesday, March 12, changes were made to add the launch executable \u2018DOOMModePortal.exe\u2019 along with the description \u2018launch mod portal\u2019 to the game\u2019s files.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
While Doom Eternal does have a modding community there has been little in the way of official support \u2013 so this potential update is an encouraging sign that it may be on the way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The potential release of modding support for Doom Eternal is further supported by comments made by producer Marty Stratton in 2019 in an interview with Game Informer<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cWe\u2019ve actually done things technically that are getting us closer to doing mod support, but it won\u2019t be immediate. I think longer term.
