The leaked Battlefield 3 system requirements have turned out to be fake. Apparently a Gamestop employee pulled them from an old source, and Dice has confirmed that they are no accurate.<\/p>\n

US retailer GameStop seems to have inadvertently revealed the system requirements for Battlefield 3, which is due for release in November 2011 on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.<\/p>\n

The game is easily one of the most important PC games of 2011, thanks to some jaw dropping graphics and a long line of highly respected PC titles in the series. The console versions will only be able to run at 30 frames per second, and will be limited to a 1280×720 resolution, whereas if you’ve got the hardware, you should be able to run the PC version at 1920×1080 (or higher) at over 60 frames per second.<\/p>\n

However, that’s a big If, and many PC gamers will be desperately waiting to find out if their computers can handle the game in all its glory.<\/p>\n

Gamestop has since pulled the system requirements from the site, but Gamerzines <\/a>managed to capture the details. Don’t even think about playing Battlefield 3 if you’re PC is anything less than this:<\/p>\n

Hard Drive Space:<\/strong> 15 GB for disc version or 10 GB for digital version
Operating System:<\/strong> Windows Vista or Windows 7
Processor:<\/strong> Core 2 Duo @ 2.0GHz
RAM: <\/strong>2GB
Video Card: <\/strong>DirectX 10 or 11 compatible Nvidia or AMD ATI card<\/em><\/p>\n

If you want to get the best out of the game, you will want something along the lines of this:<\/p>\n

Operating System: <\/strong>Windows 7 64-bit
Processor: <\/strong>Quad-core Intel or AMD CPU
RAM: <\/strong>4GB
