This weekend I’ll be getting myself back into The Witcher 2. The ridiculously hard combat system made me take a frustrated hiatus, but I think it’s time to try and finish it off. It’s so good it deserves at least that. Other than that I’ll be continuing to plow my way through FEAR 3 – lights off, headphones on, pants padded. It’s been raining in Korea for two solid weeks so it’s a great excuse to stay in.<\/p>\n

In between figuring out how to fit 27 years of accumulated junk into my new flat, I’ll be sinking my teeth into a new indie game set to launch shortly – Runespell Overture (RSO). <\/p>\n

The game is a hybrid between RPG, collectable cards and poker gameplay. By combining casual and core mechanics, RSO allows for short bursts of active play or long sessions of questing and battles.<\/p>\n

The Game will be launching on 20 July 2011 on Steam and other digital distribution channels for US$10\/€8.99. Watch out for my review on launch day.<\/p>\n

After turning to the PSN thanks to July’s drought I’ve unearthed a wealth of gaming goodness, most notably Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light. In fact, I’ve been playing nothing else for the last week thanks to the game’s ridiculously addictive nature and replayability factor.<\/p>\n

For serious, if you’ve got R125 and around 2.3 gigs of cap to spare then I highly recommend this as easily the best downloadable game I’ve played to date.

New Super Mario Bros. And why you may ask? Well, I am on nephew-sitting duty and he is smitten with the two plumbers. We are jamming our way through story-mode – good fun all round!<\/p>\n

I must admit he is a fast learner, and it is surprising since his family is somewhat technophobic. Luckily, uncle Myles is around to teach him the way of gaming on the sly. Otherwise, after my quick stint with Alice: Madness Returns this week, I am finally giving Zelda on the Wii the attention it deserves. Need to have it cleared in time for the next Zelda.

So, many games, not enough time. I’m caught with one foot in Terraria and the other still in World of Tanks. I also have a hand in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time for 3DS, not to mention having finally got around to playing Dead Space – which is less terrifying that I thought it would be. The end result, is that in my spare gaming time I find myself sitting staring at my PC screen, stuck in a web of indecisiveness.<\/p>\n
