{"id":12998,"date":"2011-07-19T11:50:00","date_gmt":"2011-07-19T09:50:00","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"-0001-11-30T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"-0001-11-29T22:00:00","slug":"epic-it-would-be-completely-dumb-to-not-make-more-gears-of-war-games","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/business\/12998-epic-it-would-be-completely-dumb-to-not-make-more-gears-of-war-games","title":{"rendered":"Epic: It would be \u201ccompletely dumb\u201d to not make more Gears of War games"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>While Epic Games has been pretty adamant that Gears of War 3 will wrap up Delta Squad&rsquo;s part in the Locust war, they&rsquo;re definitely not ruling out squads Epsilon through Omega.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;I mean, we&rsquo;re business people,&rdquo; Epic&rsquo;s Cliff Bleszinski tells <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ripten.com\/2011\/07\/18\/if-gears-3-sells-well-cliff-bleszinski-says-another-game-is-just-business-101\/\" target=\"_blank\">RipTen.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Gears 1 and 2 sold about 6 million copies, so if this game comes out and, God willing, sells 8 or 10 million it would be completely dumb to not do another one, right? It&rsquo;s just business 101.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;So, I mean, the key is figuring out what&rsquo;s appropriate. What makes sense for this connected world that we&rsquo;re moving into? So, that remains to be seen.
