{"id":13176,"date":"2011-07-27T18:11:00","date_gmt":"2011-07-27T16:11:00","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"-0001-11-30T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"-0001-11-29T22:00:00","slug":"driver-san-francisco-pc-gets-always-on-drm","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/pc\/13176-driver-san-francisco-pc-gets-always-on-drm","title":{"rendered":"Driver: San Francisco PC gets always-on DRM"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It appears that Ubisoft has decided to go with always-on DRM for their upcoming racing title Driver: San Francisco. &ldquo;PC version requires permanent internet connection,&rdquo; said a <a href=\"Https:\/\/twitter.com\/#!\/DriverGame\/status\/95905062156632064\" target=\"_blank\">tweet<\/a> on the official Ubisoft Driver: San Fracisco twitter account in response to questions by followers.<\/p>\n<p>Apparently the discussion was sparked when it was noticed that the <a href=\"http:\/\/store.steampowered.com\/app\/33440\/\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"Steam product page\">Steam product page<\/a> lists: &ldquo;3rd-party DRM: Ubisoft&rsquo;s Online Services Platform. Ubisoft requires a permanent Internet connection to play this video game at all times.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Has Ubisoft forgotten the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mygaming.co.za\/news\/news\/5425-Ubisoft-explains-DRM-controversy.html\" target=\"_self\">fiasco<\/a> around their last attempt at using always on DRM?
