{"id":13196,"date":"2011-07-28T12:57:00","date_gmt":"2011-07-28T10:57:00","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"-0001-11-30T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"-0001-11-29T22:00:00","slug":"ea-blames-steam","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/business\/13196-ea-blames-steam","title":{"rendered":"EA Blames Steam"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Following <a href=\"http:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/pc\/13162-Dragon-Age-removed-from-Steam.html\" target=\"_self\">yesterday&rsquo;s news<\/a> that Dragon Age 2 had become the latest victim in a series of mysterious disappearances from Steam, EA has blamed the service&rsquo;s &ldquo;restrictive terms&rdquo; for its removal.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;At EA, we offer our games and content to all major download services including GameStop, Amazon, Direct2Drive and Steam,&#8221; the publisher&rsquo;s SVP of global e-commerce David DeMartini tells <a href=\"http:\/\/pc.ign.com\/articles\/118\/1184485p1.html\" target=\"_blank\">IGN.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Unfortunately, Steam has adopted a set of restrictive terms of service which limit how developers interact with customers to sell downloadable content. No other download service has adopted this practice.
