The price of the console in the US is being hacked from $249.99 (R1740) to $169.99 (R1190), and similar reductions are expected in Europe and Asia.<\/p>\n<p>Today Nintendo has confirmed that the recommended retail price of the 3DS in South Africa will fall from a rather prohibitive R2,799 to a far more palatable R1,899.<\/p>\n<p>The announcement was published on the official <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nintendo.co.za\/NOE\/en_ZA\/news\/2011\/nintendo_3ds_trade_price_reduction_44123.html\" target=\"_blank\">Nintendo website. <\/a><\/p>\n<p><em>Nintendo has today announced a global change in the trade pricing policy of Nintendo 3DS.
