{"id":13408,"date":"2011-08-10T10:11:00","date_gmt":"2011-08-10T08:11:00","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"-0001-11-30T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"-0001-11-29T22:00:00","slug":"rumour-control-team-bondi-has-gone-bankrupt","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/business\/13408-rumour-control-team-bondi-has-gone-bankrupt","title":{"rendered":"Rumour control: Team Bondi has \u201cgone bankrupt\u201d"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>After several months of ongoing drama, it looks like LA Noire dev Team Bondi has finally gone bust.<\/p>\n<p>According to a report over on <a href=\"http:\/\/www.develop-online.net\/news\/38418\/Team-Bondi-releases-assets-and-IP-to-KMM\" target=\"_blank\">Develop<\/a>, that company has sold its assets and intellectual property to Sydney-based production studio, Kennedy Miller Mitchell, and told staffers to move over to KMM or lose their jobs.<\/p>\n<p>The article also cites rumours that Team Bondi has &ldquo;gone bankrupt&rdquo;, and that boss Brendan McNamara is now joining KMM too, although there&rsquo;s no official confirmation on either of those as yet.<\/p>\n<p>Shortly after LA Noire&rsquo;s launch in May, allegations from former employees about the studio&rsquo;s alleged &ldquo;hostile and brutal&rdquo; working conditions turned up in an IGN expose, prompting a lot of he-said, she-said controversy and an investigation by International Game Developers Association.<\/p>\n<p>What&rsquo;s next for Team Bondi remains unclear for the moment, although with Rockstar owning the LA Noire IP, it&rsquo;s unlikely to be any more of that.
