As Britain reels in the aftermath of the past week’s mass rioting in London, Birmingham, Bristol, and Liverpool, and hand-wringing MPs look for some explanation for it all, it seems one man has it all worked out – former Oasis guitarist, Noel Gallagher.<\/p>\n
“I can’t understand where their energy for these riots is coming from,” he tells Yahoo, astonishing people all over the planet with his ability to form coherent sentences after years of drug abuse.<\/p>\n
“We live in this age of violence – and I don’t care what other people say – brutal TV and brutal video games are a reason for this pointless violence as well. The people are immune to violence, they are used to it. And if they get caught they aren’t punished the right way. The prisons are already full? Then build new ones. It’s crazy.”<\/p>\n
Coming from a guy with quite a reputation for on-stage punch-ups, it’s kind of ironic.<\/p>\n
It’s also not the first time he’s slagged of games either. A couple of years back, he compared Guitar Hero to “two goblins trying to f*** a donkey up the arse with a laser beam”, because he couldn’t seem to sort out the difference between games and real life.<\/p>\n
