{"id":13492,"date":"2011-08-16T11:38:00","date_gmt":"2011-08-16T09:38:00","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"-0001-11-30T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"-0001-11-29T22:00:00","slug":"darksiders-ii-release-date-confirmed","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/business\/13492-darksiders-ii-release-date-confirmed","title":{"rendered":"Darksiders II release date confirmed"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>THQ&rsquo;s Danny Bilson has confirmed with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.vg247.com\/2011\/08\/16\/the-main-event-toe-to-toe-with-thqs-danny-bilson\/\" target=\"_blank\">VG247<\/a> that Darksiders 2 is scheduled for release in June 2012, and that Metro: Last Light should be out &ldquo;next summer&rdquo;, so roughly a year from now.<\/p>\n<p>Darksiders 2 is the direct sequel to Darksiders: Wrath of War which was one of 2010&rsquo;s early sleeper hits, earning a Metacritic score of 83\/100. We gave it 85\/100, and Tarryn had this to say about it:<\/p>\n<p><em>Where games that rob ideas from other games usually fail at making each part work properly together, Darksiders pushes this paradigm with reckless brutality. Technically derivative, the game manages to pull it all off with such elegance, ingenuity, and style that it doesn&#8217;t matter. It&#8217;s ultimately very much its own game.
