{"id":13514,"date":"2011-08-17T12:35:00","date_gmt":"2011-08-17T10:35:00","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"-0001-11-30T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"-0001-11-29T22:00:00","slug":"activision-registers-more-call-of-duty-related-domains-than-you-could-shake-a-p90-at","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/business\/13514-activision-registers-more-call-of-duty-related-domains-than-you-could-shake-a-p90-at","title":{"rendered":"Activision registers more Call of Duty-related domains than you could shake a P90 at"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The elves enslaved in Activision&rsquo;s sequel factories must be weeping today, with the news that the megapublisher tyrant overlord has been registering enough Call of Duty domains to keep them grinding for the next decade.<\/p>\n<p>According to a report over on Fusible, Activision has recently registered the following domains:<\/p>\n<p>CODBlackOps3.com<br \/>CODBlackOps4.com<br \/>CODBlackOps5.com<br \/>CODBlackOps6.com<br \/>BlackOps4.com<br \/>BlackOps5.com<br \/>BlackOps6.com<br \/>CallOfDutyBlackOps3.com<br \/>CallOfDutyBlackOps4.com<br \/>CallOfDutyBlackOps5.com<br \/>CallOfDutyBlackOps6.com<br \/>CallofDutyMW5.com<br \/>CallofDutyMW6.com.<\/p>\n<p>Of course, most of this is really just pre-emptive striking on <a href=\"http:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/news\/12966-Modern-Warfare-domain-Battlefield-fansite.html\" target=\"_self\">URLs that could be picked up by anybody else<\/a> and used as a joke, although looking at this list, it&rsquo;s probably safe to assume that there&rsquo;s a Black Ops 3, Black Ops 4, Black Ops 5, Black Ops 6, Modern Warfare 5, and Modern Warfare 6 in the pipeline.<\/p>\n<p>Anybody surprised? Anybody?<\/p>\n<p>Also, did anybody notice that Modern Warfare 4 isn&rsquo;t on the list? Oh, that&rsquo;s because it appears to be <a href=\"http:\/\/whois.domaintools.com\/callofdutymw4.com\" target=\"_blank\">registered to somebody named Jay Genzale already<\/a>.
