While Batman: Arkham Asylum might have been almost perfect in every other way, it was conspicuously missing a New Game Plus mode, meaning all subsequent replays included that tedious business of getting a bunch of gadgets into your pockets.<\/p>\n
The sequel won’t be making the same mistake, though. In a recent video interview with GTTV<\/a>, Rocksteady’s Dax Ginn confirms that Batman: Arkham City features a New Game Plus mode, allowing vicarious vigilantes to start over with all their stuff from the last go. Let bat-joy be unconfined.<\/p>\n According to Ginn, you’ll “need” it the second time around. That’s because enemy configurations will change up, and impending impact notifications will be removed.<\/p>\n “You’ll have to read their animations coming in,” Ginn said. Just like real life.<\/p>\n Batman: Arkham City launches on PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3 on 21 October 2011, with a Wii U version to follow up sometime in 2012.<\/p>\n
