Due to my rampant gaming ADD, I have to set  this as a kind of personal goal for the weekend, otherwise I&#8217;ll get  distracted by various other games, like one of those people that reads  seven novels simultaneously, usually all by James Patterson.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/DXHR_screenshot_Adam_Sarif_133769758.jpg\" border=\"0\" width=\"340\" height=\"191\" \/><\/p>\n<p>If I lose my battle against distraction, I&#8217;ll most likely be weeping  over my keyboard as I get insulted in Heroes of Newerth (addiction is a  real disease, okay?).<\/p>\n<p><strong>James Etherington-Smith<br \/><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I&rsquo;ll be trying to discern my left analogue stick from my macro keys in a veritable orgy of gaming this weekend; Dead Island, Space Marine, rugby games, Heroes of Newerth, Minecraft Adventure Update 1.8. It&rsquo;s actually an impossible line-up if I factor in sustenance and personal hygiene.<\/p>\n<p>Somewhere along the line I also have to drink and watch metal bands perform to support some kind puppy-related charity. See, metalheads do care even if head-banging induced intracranial haemorrhaging makes us space on what exactly we are caring about&hellip;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/Space_Marine_Screenshot_4_320596407.jpg\" border=\"0\" width=\"600\" height=\"337\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Tarryn van der Byl<br \/><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Gears of War 3. This job totally has perks.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/gears_of_war_3_9_295871785.jpg\" border=\"0\" width=\"600\" height=\"339\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Dan Parmenter <br \/><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This weekend I&#8217;ll be playing the same games I play every year at The Loerie Awards: &#8220;Drinking Boat Race&#8221;, &#8220;Projectile Vomit Championship&#8221;, and &#8220;Where The Hell Are My Pants?&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>If I make it back alive I&#8217;ll be spending my sick days finishing up Deus Ex.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/drunk_man_sleeping_259834744.jpg\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>2010 Loerie Awards after party<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Derrick Cramer<br \/><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><\/strong>I finally got myself a shiny sealed copy of Deus Ex: Human Revolution so I will be tackling that over the weekend. If word of mouth is anything to go by, I doubt I&rsquo;ll have time for anything else really.
