It’s got to be a bit hard to make yourselves look reasonable when you’re suing somebody over a single word.<\/p>\n

That’s not stopping Bethesda’s Pete Hines from trying, though.<\/p>\n

“This is a business matter based on how trademark law works and it will continue to be dealt with by lawyers who understand it, not by me or our developers,” Hines tells Kotaku<\/span><\/a>.<\/p>\n

“Mojang’s public comments have not given a complete picture as it relates to their filings, our trademarks, or events that have taken place.”<\/p>\n

Which is probably true; but fundamentally it still comes down to arguing over the use of a word – and basically implying your customers are too stupid to work out the difference between Bethesda’s Elder Scrolls series of RPGs, and Mojang’s Scrolls whatever-it-is.<\/p>\n

“Nobody here enjoys being forced into this. Hopefully it will all be resolved soon,” adds Hines.<\/p>\n
