{"id":14662,"date":"2011-10-12T13:39:00","date_gmt":"2011-10-12T11:39:00","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"-0001-11-30T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"-0001-11-29T22:00:00","slug":"dice-has-massive-plan-for-battlefield-3-dlc","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/business\/14662-dice-has-massive-plan-for-battlefield-3-dlc","title":{"rendered":"DICE has \u201cmassive plan\u201d for Battlefield 3 DLC"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In news that will probably only surprise a moon rock, DICE has confirmed that the launch of Battlefield 3 will be followed by, presumably, a series of launches of additional DLC.<\/p>\n<p>Hey, it&rsquo;s what all the cool and trendy devs are doing these days, and DICE wouldn&rsquo;t want to not be cool and trendy.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/Battlefield_3_screenshot_bf3___mp____caspian_border___gamescom_04_972518313.jpg\" border=\"0\" width=\"340\" height=\"208\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Talking to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mcvpacific.com\/news\/read\/interview-lars-gustavsson-from-dice\/086343\" target=\"_self\" title=\"MCV\">MCV<\/a>, Battlefield 3 creative director and lead designer Lars Gustavsson reveals that the dev has big plans for DLC. Huge. Massive, even.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;We&#8217;ve completely restructured our studio around it,&rdquo; he said on the topic of post-launch content for the game.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Nowadays, we have operations team who looks at the title when it starts getting closer to launch (or long before) with potential downloadable content and so on, to really have a plan. Otherwise you&#8217;re quite likely to start slipping.
