Turn 10’s fourth edition of the iconic Xbox 360 exclusive racing franchise is out this week, and reviews are already pouring in.<\/p>\n

We all expected Forza 4 to be well received, and at the rate it’s going it seems destined to live up to the previous game’s high standards, matching its 92\/100 Metacritic score.<\/p>\n

That’s 8 points higher than Sony’s competing racing sim, Gran Turismo 5, which settled on a solid, if not earth shattering, 84\/100 Metacritic score.<\/p>\n

Forza 4 will allow players to transfer their Forza 3 profiles into the game, allowing them to cash in on a certain amount of in-game credits and cars.<\/p>\n

Turn 10 has also partnered with the BBC’s Top Gear, and the game includes narration provided none other than Jeremy Clarkson, and it also features the Top Gear test track.<\/p>\n

We are hard at work on our own review of Forza 4, but in the meantime, here is what some of the big-dogs have had to say.<\/p>\n

Automobile love in a box…A game that seems to have covered every base perfectly. They’ve also managed to add something else that you’ll never see as a bulletpoint on a box: personality. Forza 4 is so much more lively, and it shows so much more character than its predecessor. The improved visuals, the added cars on track, the wealth of new race types, the tweaked AI and closer racing, the ferocious sound and superior sense of speed, the even better livery editor, the lot. The changes in Forza 4 I find most exciting don’t alter this setup dramatically, and yet with just a few tweaks Forza 4 feels like a fresh experience. It’s re-invigorated, and every turn is infectious and alluring<\/em>. Read more<\/a><\/p>\n

The level of synergy between Career and multiplayer feels precise and balanced; one constantly bolsters the other, yet neither take priority or feel parasitic.
