Another week, another Xbox LIVE banhammer drama.<\/p>\n

This time around, it seems a bunch of Forza 4 players have been “unfairly banned” from playing the game on Microsoft’s service, although “unfairly banned” is often shorthand for “BLACK OPS 10TH PRESTIGE 1600 MSP<\/a>”, so make of this what you will.<\/p>\n

“We are investigating claims from a select group of Forza 4 players who believe they have been unfairly banned from Xbox LIVE,” writes Turn 10 community manager, Brian Ekberg.<\/p>\n

“We take piracy issues very seriously and will be investigating this matter case by case. If we find accounts that have been banned in error, we will reinstate them.”<\/p>\n

According to a report over on Eurogamer<\/a>, there’s some speculation that the accounts might have been banned for buying in-game credits with real-world cash.<\/p>\n

Microsoft recently had to ‘fess up to bollocksing up with a massive wave of Xbox LIVE bans<\/a> for “marketplace theft”, only to discover later on that they’d done so in error.<\/p>\n
