<\/p>\nExciting news for anyone who’s been playing Warhammer 40k: Space Marine, and felt that they were missing something.<\/p>\n
Something like a friend to suf- er, play along with them, perhaps?<\/p>\n
Available right now on Steam and PSN (and coming soon to Xbox LIVE as well), Space Marine fans will be able to get just that – Exterminatus mode (or simply co-op mode for us plebs) can be downloaded and enjoyed by all.<\/p>\n
The booster adds two new co-op scenarios that put you up against alien hordes, playing as Space Marines (like the title says) in a score-based fight to the death.<\/p>\n
Death – with friends. Aww.<\/p>\n
“We are delighted to be able to reward the loyal fans of Space Marine with a new free mode to extend and enhance their game play experience. Exterminatus will provide a rewarding new challenge to players old and new,” said Jim Huntley, VP of Global Brand Management.<\/p>\n
It’s not that we’re looking a gift horse in the mouth or anything, Jim, but shouldn’t this have been part of the game already?<\/p>\n
Cynicism aside, this is pretty cool for Warhammer fans who feel the need to be a bit more social in space – grabby grabby now.<\/p>\n
Not you, Xbox owners, you wait.<\/p>\n
