The long awaited sequel to Running with Scissors’ iconic franchise, Postal, has been confirmed for release on Steam in December 2011.<\/p>\n
The Postal III Steam release is the first worldwide distribution deal for the game. “This is a great day for RWS but, more importantly, for Postal Fans around the world,” said Running With Scissors CEO Vince Desi.<\/p>\n
“We welcome gamers everywhere to play for themselves and see what they’ve been missing.”<\/p>\n
Postal III will see the return of “The Postal Dude”, who according to Running With Scissors’ PR monkeys, “is among the most memorable characters in video game history”.<\/p>\n
The game will also feature cameo appearances from Randy Jones (The Village People), Playboy Playmate Jennifer Walcott and porn superstar Ron Jeremy. In Desi’s own words,”We cover the rainbow of society.”<\/p>\n
Since the 1997 release of the original Postal, Running With Scissors has created a sequel with Postal 2, several add-on games, and a feature film.<\/p>\n
The game will initially only be available on PC, but deals are in the works to bring the game to console. “It’s been a long, hard journey to get it here,” acknowledged publisher Akella’s Andrew Belkin. “But I couldn’t have written a happier ending than seeing Postal III on Steam!”<\/p>\n
