Silent Hill: Downpour was scheduled to be released round about now, actually \u2013 until the powers-that-be decided to hold back a bit until next year.<\/p>\n

Probably a good idea, considering the flood of big name games that are smashing us in the face at the moment.<\/p>\n

While new dates were never set for the release, Gamesradar are reporting that we\u2019ll be meeting up in the foggy town of horror in the first quarter of next year \u2013 the same time as a couple of other Silent Hill games.<\/p>\n

The much-anticipated (by myself, anyway) Silent Hill HD Collection will be dropping by first on 24 January 2012 \u2013 giving us the HD-reworkings of Silent Hill 2 and Silent Hill 3.<\/p>\n

Then recently announced Silent Hill: Book of Memories will be showing up to mingle on the Playstation Vita<\/a>, when both system and game launch in February.<\/p>\n

Then coming late to the party is the Silent Hill: Downpour \u2013 which is making a (hopefully) fashionably late entrance in March.<\/p>\n

And just for the hell of it, we may as well throw in Silent Hill: Revelation \u2013 the 3D, live-action movie sequel\u2013 which will be coming a couple of months later, in May.<\/p>\n

So there you have it \u2013 if Silent Hill is what makes you feel all tingly inside, then anticipate the perpetual sensation of joy next year \u2013 particularly in the first 3 months.<\/p>\n
