Cape Townies, listen up – cancel your plans, you’re coming to the 2upGamers<\/a> event in Rondebosch tonight.<\/p>\n

Okay? Exactly, I’m so glad we had this nice talk.<\/p>\n

The event is the first in what’s expected to become a monthly thing, and – significantly – prove for once and for all that Cape Town is way better than Joburg, so suck it, flatlanders.<\/p>\n

With that bit out of the way then, here’s the important info:<\/p>\n

WHERE<\/strong> – Rondebosch Sports Club.
<\/strong><\/p>\n

WHEN<\/strong> – Tonight, obviously. That’s 18h30 for 19h00 until “Game Over”.
<\/strong><\/p>\n

HOW MUCH<\/strong> – R60 (first 20), R80 thereafter (includes your meal, SCORE).
<\/strong><\/p>\n

WHAT’S HAPPENING<\/strong> – There’s going to be a bunch of guest speakers, including MWEB reps talking about local server support and competitive gaming, Kalahari.com people on gaming retail stuff, as well as the 2upGamers team and a “surprise lineup” (Although if that’s me singing Boston’s More Than A Feeling, they haven’t actually told me yet). Then lots of shoving food in our faces and playing Xbox and PS3 games and other cool things like that.
