Also, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, Call of Duty Elite, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, said Call of Duty at a press conference in Modern Warfare 3 this morning.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, according to industry analysts Sterne Agee, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is going to sell 5.5 – 6 million copies in its first 24 hours of release.<\/p>\n

“We expect MW3 to grow 10% versus last year’s Call of Duty: Black Ops, which has sold through more than 25 million units life-to date,” the company’s Arvind Bhatia told IndustryGamers. “We expect 5.5M-6.0M unit sales of MW3 on day 1 and nearly 18M units in the December quarter.”<\/p>\n

According to a press release put out earlier today, the game is (unsurprisingly) Activision<\/a>’s most pre-ordered title ever.<\/p>\n

No actual numbers were cited, but with almost 15,000 midnight launch events around the world, it’s probably safe to assume that’s “quite a lot”.<\/p>\n
