So earlier this year when Activision was trying to get us all excited about Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 they announced Call of Duty Elite, a platform which was to essentially become a social network for Call of Duty players.<\/p>\n
The free\/subscription based service tracks lifetime statistics across various Call of Duty titles, includes special monthly downloadable content, and provides various social networking options.<\/p>\n
Console apps for the PS3<\/a> and Xbox 360<\/a> versions became available when Modern Warfare 3 was released, while the PC version was delayed to an unknown date. Beachhead Studios<\/a>‘ head Chacko Sonny stated that the PC version needs to “Ensure a safe PC environment.”<\/p>\n “It\u2019s really extensive. We need more time to get there, so Elite on PC will not launch on Day 1. We\u2019re working our butts off to make it happen, but we won\u2019t release it until we know that PC gamers can enjoy Elite as it\u2019s meant to be,\u201d said Sonny.<\/p>\n However, the official Call of Duty Elite twitter<\/a> feed posted the following last night:<\/p>\n \u201cWe are working towards a universal Elite experience but we cannot guarantee if or when a version will be available for the PC.\u201d<\/p>\n
