Earlier this month, some silly sausage over at Microsoft <\/a>hit the wrong button on his DO NOT PRESS ANY OF THESE BUTTONS machine, and accidentally a whole Mass Effect 3 beta (sic) over Xbox LIVE<\/a>.<\/p>\n

It wasn\u2019t long before the beta was completely picked apart and details surrounding every aspect of the game were put up on the web \u2013 including the story, spoilers and all.<\/p>\n

The Mass Effect community didn\u2019t waste time in discussing various points of the plot and its ending, creating quite a buzz around the game \u2013 something which BioWare<\/a> founders, Ray Muzyka and Greg Zeschuk, think isn\u2019t such a bad thing, seeing as it got them a lot of media attention (but it’s still a bad thing overall).<\/p>\n

Speaking to Eurogamer about the issue, they even hinted that all the feedback might even change the course of the story \u2013 which, as they reiterated from the statement they released after the leak, is still \u201cin flux\u201d.<\/p>\n

“We listen to our fans all of the time,” Muzyka said. “We listen to them on the forums, their feedback from stories. We’re reading it all.\u201d<\/p>\n

“If we can get ideas out of it that will make the game better, sure. We’re not adverse to taking feedback. That’s part of our core values, is humility. Any time we get a good idea from fans… they’re our audience. They keep us in business.”<\/p>\n

It seems the BioWare team behind Mass Effect 3 are miffed at the leak, and rightly so, let’s be honest. Muzyka has urged fans to stay clear of spoiling the game for themselves by reading up on the leaked scripts – especially as they have no context in a story you essentially shape as you play.<\/p>\n

Let\u2019s face it, you\u2019re only spiting yourself if you do feed off the spoilers; I for one know absolutely nothing about the game, or anything about anything in life in general, so I\u2019m safe.<\/p>\n
