Somewhere, somehow, for some reason, the PS3<\/a> exclusive DLC<\/a> for Saints Row: The Third promised back at E3 didn\u2019t happen \u2013 but it\u2019s all okay now because Sony<\/a> and THQ<\/a> are giving everybody who buys the game a free copy of Saints Row 2! Yay!<\/p>\n

\u201cAt long last, THQ and our friends at PlayStation are proud to unveil additional content for Saints Row: The Third owners on PS3,\u201d writes THQ communications manager Jon Miller on the PlayStation Blog in a totally convincing attempt at making it look like this was the real plan the whole time.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor all players that purchase Saints Row: The Third on PlayStation 3 and redeem their online pass codes within the next 90 days, they will receive a digital copy of Saints Row 2 (a $19.99 value)\u2026 absolutely free!\u201d<\/p>\n

The game will be available to download \u201cearly next week\u201d.<\/p>\n

The offer apparently only applies to the States, Canada, and Mexico, though, so locals will probably have to use a bit of account subterfuge to take advantage of it.<\/p>\n
