Until now, we\u2019ve not been told very much much about THQ<\/a> and Guillermo del Toro\u2019s survival horror, inSANE, except that it\u2019s \u201cLovecraftian\u201d, \u201ctruly, truly entertaining\u201d, and \u201cfull of action, but also a very shocking game\u201d.<\/p>\n

Now we can also add that it\u2019s \u201creally, really nasty\u201d. This thing\u2019s finally taking some shape, kind of. Like a… like a tentacle with a dagger or something.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re being really, really nasty in the game. We\u2019re really trying a lot of stuff that I don\u2019t think would even fly in the movies,\u201d del Toro told Collider.<\/p>\n

Although he\u2019s currently shooting a film, the director has weekly conference calls with the developers. \u201cWe exchange ideas about the design, the gameplay, about the models,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s still two-and-a-half or three years away, though, because videogame development is so long.\u201d<\/p>\n

The more I read about this game, the more it sounds like that amazing thing me and my friends were totally going to make in high school, and talked about all the time, and made plans, and drew pictures, and made lists of stuff, and just never actually got around to making in the end.<\/p>\n
