It looks like Lara Croft is set for an all-round reboot across all media.<\/p>\n

Not only is she sporting a fresher look in next year’s Tomb Raider game series reboot, but Hollywood seems to be following suit, to bank on bringing Lara back to the big screen in a reboot of her own.<\/p>\n

And guess what? It’s also going to be an origin story – just like in the game!<\/p>\n

While we don’t know if the movie will have anything to do with the game at all – we do know that producer, Graham King, is trying something new.<\/p>\n

“The story that we’re telling is really the story before she became Lara Croft, so it is a character piece.” King told Coming Soon, “It does have a lot of really great characters, but it’s a lot of action and a lot of fun, and for me, it’s something very different.”<\/p>\n

The next Tomb Raider movie is being penned by Iron Man writers, Mark Fergus and Hawk Ostby, and is looking for a release in 2013. No word on who they’re looking at to play Ms. Croft, but we have our own ideas around the office.<\/p>\n
