{"id":27139,"date":"2011-11-23T16:46:31","date_gmt":"2011-11-23T14:46:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/?p=27139"},"modified":"2011-11-23T16:48:22","modified_gmt":"2011-11-23T14:48:22","slug":"is-biowares-new-game-command-and-conquer","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/business\/27139-is-biowares-new-game-command-and-conquer","title":{"rendered":"Is Bioware&#8217;s new game Command and Conquer?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Last night <a title=\"Company Information\" href=\"http:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/forum\/showthread.php\/11869-BioWare\">Bioware<\/a> released a very short teaser video for an unannounced game, and now according to speculation it looks like it may be based on <a title=\"Company Information\" href=\"http:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/forum\/showthread.php\/11851-Electronic-Arts\">EA<\/a>&#8216;s iconic Command &amp; Conquer franchise.<\/p>\n<p>Superannuation spotted a potential clue on an EA employees&#8217;s LinkedIn profile. The individual in question works for Victory Games; a studio known to be working on a reboot of the Command &amp; Conquer series.<\/p>\n<p>However, the employee in question listed Bioware as her place of work, and the entire reference has since been removed from her profile.<\/p>\n<p>The teaser trailer features a tank in an urban environment shooting at armoured personal carriers, which is pretty much the sort of thing we expect to see from Command &amp; Conquer games.<\/p>\n<p>Although Bioware is known for its RPGs, there is nothing technically stopping the developer from branching out, and its own cover statement reads as follows:<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The BioWare label is a division of EA which crafts high quality multi-platform role-playing, MMO and strategy games.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The game is to be officially unveiled on 10 December, 2011.
