{"id":27415,"date":"2011-11-25T13:06:52","date_gmt":"2011-11-25T11:06:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/?p=27415"},"modified":"2011-11-25T15:39:01","modified_gmt":"2011-11-25T13:39:01","slug":"apple-approves-ios-game-subscription-service-then-changes-its-mind","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/business\/27415-apple-approves-ios-game-subscription-service-then-changes-its-mind","title":{"rendered":"Apple approves iOS game subscription service, then changes its mind"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Earlier this week, Big Fish Games submitted an app for <a title=\"Company Information\" href=\"http:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/forum\/showthread.php\/20713-Apple-Inc.\">Apple<\/a> to approve, which would introduce the first paid-subscription service game into the iStore.<\/p>\n<p>The service had subsequently been approved by Apple.<\/p>\n<p>The service will allow <a title=\"Term Information\" href=\"http:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/forum\/showthread.php\/20018-iOS\">iOS<\/a> (<a title=\"System Information\" href=\"http:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/forum\/showthread.php\/20717-Apple-iPad\">iPad<\/a>\/iPhone) users to have unlimited access to a wealth of games for a monthly subscription fee, similar to the Newsstand service.<\/p>\n<p>Now however, Apple have inexplicably pulled the service \u2013 and haven\u2019t given Big Fish any reason for it.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We were notified that the app was removed.
