According to Kotaku, an “insider” has reported that Dragon Age is going multiplayer.<\/p>\n

Dragon Age has established itself as one of gaming’s most important RPG franchises, although Dragon Age 2 did not quite match the critical acclaim of its predecessor. It has to date remained firmly positioned as a story driven single player experience, so it remains to be seen just how a multiplayer component could be worked into the overall narrative.<\/p>\n

The same source claims that dragons will be playable in Dragon Age’s multiplayer.<\/p>\n

The source was unable to specify whether the multiplayer would be a feature of the announced Dragon Age 3, or if it is being developed as a standalone game. He did say that the game is being will use DICE<\/a>‘s Frostbite 2 engine<\/a>, and that it looks stunning.<\/p>\n

The multiplayer will supposedly be arena-based, and will also feature player vs. environment elements. It will also feature humans fighting against dragons.<\/p>\n

Those were all the details the source could reveal.<\/p>\n

EA<\/a> has yet to comment on the rumour.<\/p>\n
