Every now and then a game developer will toy with the idea of having a game where you don\u2019t die; then you\u2019ll get a game developer who will take that idea to a whole other level.<\/p>\n

Konami<\/a>\u2019s NeverDead stars an immortal protagonist by the name of Bryce Boltzmann who works for an agency that investigates demon incursions. The plot has something to do with demons from the dawn of time emerging in present day, leaving Bryce to use a wealth of guns and his blade to whack them back to hell.<\/p>\n

But Bryce is immortal, so when it comes to battling the nasties, things happen a little bit differently.<\/p>\n

As Bryce gets attacked and hit, it\u2019s possible for him to literally be torn limb from limb \u2013 up to the point that he\u2019s a rolling head. I\u2019m not even kidding. As you take damage, you\u2019ll fall apart and be your own version of Monty Python\u2019s black knight \u2013 and you\u2019ll need to find a way to pull yourself together.<\/p>\n

Pull yourself together, man!<\/p><\/div>\n

If you don\u2019t have a gun, you can…use your limbs as weapons \u2013 or if you want to navigate new areas, there\u2019s nothing stopping you from lobbing your head in to new places.<\/p>\n

Basically, you\u2019re playing as a human Mr. Potato Head. And that is pretty freakin\u2019 awesome.<\/p>\n

The game\u2019s tone looks sufficiently cheesy, so hopefully it\u2019s not going to take itself too seriously and we can all sit around and laugh as Bryce chases after himself \u2013 as opposed to feeling queasy at the sight of a man ripping his own head off to chuck at a charging demon.<\/p>\n

On second thoughts, we\u2019d laugh at that either way.<\/p>\n

NeverDead is set for release on 3 February 2012 for Xbox 360<\/a> and PS3<\/a>.<\/p>\n
