Do you like Assassin\u2019s Creed? Do you frikken\u2019 LOVE Assassin\u2019s Creed? Well rejoice, because you could be playing it FOREVER.<\/p>\n
According to Ubisoft<\/a> senior VP of sales and marketing Tony Key, they don\u2019t plan on stopping the franchise anytime soon. Speaking to [a]list, Key says, \u201cAssassin\u2019s Creed is a big brand not just for us, but for the industry.\u201d \u201cThe meta story is supposed to be carried on forever. We can go on with this brand where we want to \u2013 that\u2019s the exciting part about the way it\u2019s constructed.<\/p>\n “As we\u2019ve said all along, this is the end of Ezio\u2019s story arc; it\u2019s a great place to jump in the franchise and anyone who has played the previous games should have some satisfaction with the answers they get at the end.\u201d<\/p>\n While we\u2019ve seen a new entrant in the franchise every holiday season since 2009, Key insists they haven\u2019t been sacrificing quality to push out an annual release.<\/p>\n \u201cOne thing I keep hearing is, \u2018How can you make it in one year?\u2019 We work on it a lot longer than one year and that\u2019s part of it; we have multiple studios. Assassin\u2019s Creed is a blueprint brand. What that means is it has a lot of resources focused onto it. We constantly have people thinking about it, so we have a lot of people working on future iterations, while these games are being made we\u2019re already thinking about the next one,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n \u201cI hope people are getting over the idea that we rush them out; we don\u2019t make Assassin\u2019s Creed games in one year.
