{"id":28955,"date":"2011-12-05T14:11:38","date_gmt":"2011-12-05T12:11:38","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/?p=28955"},"modified":"2011-12-05T14:41:04","modified_gmt":"2011-12-05T12:41:04","slug":"final-fantasy-7-remade-in-unreal-engine-3-by-fans","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/business\/28955-final-fantasy-7-remade-in-unreal-engine-3-by-fans","title":{"rendered":"Final Fantasy 7 remade in Unreal Engine 3 by fans"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Back in 2006, <a title=\"Company Information\" href=\"http:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/forum\/showthread.php\/11891-Square-Enix\">Square-Enix<\/a> ran a tech demo showing what Final Fantasy 7 would look like if it were running on the <a title=\"System Information\" href=\"http:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/forum\/showthread.php\/19888-Playstation-3-%28PS3%29\">PlayStation 3<\/a>. Obviously, this sparked rumours of a possible Final Fantasy 7 remake in the works \u2013 rumours which refuse to die.<\/p>\n<p>Hell, even Square-Enix refuses to quash them outright, simply saying <em>IF<\/em> it were to happen, it would <em>PROBABLY<\/em> take a long time, and would <em>LIKELY<\/em> have a few changes is in it.<\/p>\n<p>Speculation aside, a Final Fantasy fan has taken to his computer and remade a part of Final Fantasy 7 using Unreal Engine 3.
