So we know that The Darkness II is going to be hitting Xbox 360<\/a>, PS3<\/a> and PC<\/a> on 10 February 2012 and that it\u2019s going to be giving us a gore-tastic single player campaign \u2013 but now a new trailer has revealed what we can expect when we want to get a couple of friends involved, too.<\/p>\n

Introducing Vendettas \u2013 The Darkness II\u2019s co-operative campaign that brings four creepy and entirely insane characters to join Jackie Estacado as he goes up against the Brotherhood.<\/p>\n

Vendettas is a co-op campaign that runs parallel to the Darkness II\u2019s single-player campaign and ties in with Jackie\u2019s story. Each of the four crazies has his or her own unique background and reason to go up against the Brotherhood \u2013 as well as brandish their own Darkness weapon.<\/p>\n

So the disembowelling, decapitating and otherwise maiming of enemies will continue in full, bloody glory.<\/p>\n

You\u2019ll be able to play as Inugami<\/strong>, a dark and mentally unstable character with revenge-driven motives against The Brotherhood who slaughtered his whole family. He wields a samurai sword that\u2019s said to have killed tens of thousands of people.<\/p>\n

Next up is Shoshanna<\/strong>, an ultra-efficient agent for Mossad, the Israeli Intelligence Agency, who was sent to New York to combat a spike in Brotherhood activity. She uses the Arm of the Night, a weapon that uses Dark essence to fire multiple bullets at one time.<\/p>\n

Then there\u2019s Jimmy Wilson<\/strong>, a Scottish alcoholic who believes The Brotherhood is simply another form of the Hated English that persecuted his family in the past. He throws the Dark Axe around, and can summon Darklings.<\/p>\n

Finally there\u2019s the witchdoctor, J.P. DuMond<\/strong>, whose use of dark magic drew the attention of The Brotherhood. He uses the Midnight Stick and can toss a black metal box filled with dark power (called the Box of Tricks) into an open area to cause loads of pain to enemies.<\/p>\n

They sound like a happy bunch.<\/p>\n
