{"id":29104,"date":"2011-12-07T10:05:51","date_gmt":"2011-12-07T08:05:51","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/?p=29104"},"modified":"2011-12-07T10:12:04","modified_gmt":"2011-12-07T08:12:04","slug":"minecraft-pocket-edition-is-getting-survival-mode","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/business\/29104-minecraft-pocket-edition-is-getting-survival-mode","title":{"rendered":"Minecraft Pocket Edition is getting Survival Mode"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>If you (like me) bought the <a title=\"Game Information\" href=\"http:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/forum\/showthread.php\/20004-Minecraft\">Minecraft <\/a>Pocket Edition for<a title=\"Term Information\" href=\"http:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/forum\/showthread.php\/20076-Android-OS\"> Android<\/a> or <a title=\"Term Information\" href=\"http:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/forum\/showthread.php\/20018-iOS\">iOS<\/a> &#8211; only to discover it didn&#8217;t actually feature the actual game bit of the game &#8211; then you (like me) will doubtless be positively thrilled to find out that it&#8217;s being added in an update.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;A lot of people have been asking what we were doing after the first initial Android release and why they\u00a0haven\u2019t\u00a0gotten more updates,&#8221; writes Mojang&#8217;s Daniel Kaplan over on the official site.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Well, after the first\u00a0initial\u00a0launch of the Android version Aron started to port the game to iOS. We just wanted to make sure that the iOS version was on par with the Android version before\u00a0continuing\u00a0the, work since it is quite complicated to deal with different versions with different features.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The plan now is to start digging into making Minecraft \u2013 Pocket Edition with Survival features!!&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>And that&#8217;s pretty much all he has to say about that, although he also adds a list of planned features, including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A new file system \u2013 to make sure we can support items and mobs in the world<\/li>\n<li>Item system \u2013 to be able to pick up items<\/li>\n<li>Crafting \u2013 we know you want this.
