Appropriately enough then, GlaDOS is on the job, or at least her voice is. It’s close enough.<\/p>\n
The news comes from actor Ellen McClain herself, who told all on the red carpet at the Spike TV VGAs<\/a>. She and her husband John Lowrie (who has done voices for a bunch of Valve<\/a> games, including Left 4 Dead, Team Fortress 2, and Half-Life 2) have both been signed up to do voice work for the game.<\/p>\n “Eric Wolpaw told me in the limo that it has been announced,” she said, “John and I have both done voices for Dota 2. So we’re going to be in there.”<\/p>\n “There are a lot of characters in Dota 2,” added Lowrie. “There are like a hundred characters, so we’ve done quite a few of them.”<\/p>\n Dota 2 is due out sometime next year, although in typical Valve fashion there’s no actual date set yet.<\/p>\n
