THQ<\/a> has announced via a new trailer that Darksiders 2 will be released for PC<\/a>, PS3<\/a> and Xbox 360<\/a> in Summer 2012, which means Winter 2012 for us Southern Hemisphere dwellers.<\/p>\n

A Wii U<\/a> version is also going to be released, but since no one knows exactly when Nintendo<\/a>\u2019s new console will hit shelves, we can\u2019t say when that version of the game will be available. The smart money is on Darksiders 2 being one of the console\u2019s launch titles.<\/p>\n

The new trailer shows off anti-hero Death, one of the four horsemen of the apocalypse. Death is on a quest to redeem his brother, War, who was unfairly blamed for prematurely starting the apocalypse in the first game.<\/p>\n

Jim Huntley, vice president of Global Brand Management at THQ commented: “We are really looking forward to allowing players to take on the role of the ultimate anti-hero and this trailer gives them a real taste of what it will be like playing DEATH.”<\/p>\n
