Modern Warfare 3 has beaten out James Cameron’s Avatar to set a new record for the race to 1 billion dollars in the shortest time.<\/p>\n
2009’s 3D epic from the Titanic director took 17 days to hit the 1 billion dollar mark – but according to Activision, Modern Warfare 3 has reached the same target, one day faster.<\/p>\n
NPD reported last month that Modern Warfare 3 had sold 8,9 million copies, making it the biggest launch this year – breaking the record set by Black Ops the year before.<\/p>\n
