In this little (25-minute long) making-of video for Metal Gear Rising, you might catch a glimpse of the game being demoed – and being controlled by the Xbox 360<\/a> controller.<\/p>\n

That means that the lead platform for the game is Xbox 360, right? I mean it makes sense, because that’s what now-developers, Platinum Games<\/a>, did with Bayonetta.<\/p>\n

Bayonetta was developed on the Xbox 360 by Platinum, and given to someone else to port over to the PS3<\/a>, so why would they do anything different this time around?<\/p>\n

Well not so, said MGR producer, Atsushi Inaba, via twitter – in fact, this time, Platinum is developing the game on both the Xbox and the PS3 – but the PS3 is the lead platform.<\/p>\n

Seeing as the Metal Gear Solid series has always made the PlayStation its favoured home, I guess that shouldn’t be too much of a surprise.<\/p>\n

The reason for the Xbox 360 controller? Ironically, it’s the only way to control the demo on the PC<\/a> – which is being used for the cross-platform development.<\/p>\n
