Those who have been keeping an eye on the ridiculously drawn-out and painful legal wrangle between Bethesda<\/a> and Interplay<\/a> over the Fallout brand will be relieved to learn that that entire thing is now over.<\/p>\n

At least, that\u2019s according to Fallout fansite, Duck & Cover.<\/p>\n

The details of the settlement are currently unknown, but are expected to be made public later this month.<\/p>\n

The legal mashup erupted when Fallout IP owners, Bethesda, alleged that Interplay had not carried up its end of the deal which allowed them to create another Fallout game.<\/p>\n

According to Bethesda, Interplay was supposed to have commenced full scale work on its Fallout title by 4 April, 2009. Bethesda also claimed that Interplay was supposed to have secured funding by the that stage.<\/p>\n

It remains to be seen what the final verdict of the dispute will be, but at least it\u2019s over, and hopefully now we can see less bickering in court and more game development going on.<\/p>\n
