It took me a while to stop staring at the Harman Kardon SoundSticks for long enough to write this. The stunning looks are enough to leave even the most creative hipster searching for words – and by all accounts they sound pretty good too. A 6-inch woofer deals with the low-end while mids and highs are handled by two satellites, each housing four 1-inch speakers.<\/p>\n

Touch-sensitive controls round off this sleek package, which can be yours for as little as R1,850 locally.<\/p>\n

Asus LS Series Monitor<\/h3>\n

Look at that monitor, look at it! Do you care about the specs? Me neither, I just want one. Nerdgasm aside, the Asus LS246H is a very capable monitor, featuring all the specifications you\u2019d want out of a high-end LCD monitor – including Full HD resolution and a 2ms response time.<\/p>\n

Sure it\u2019s on the expensive side at around R2,750 locally, but then again all good art will set you back a pretty penny.<\/p>\n

Cyborg R.A.T. 7 Contagion<\/h3>\n

How do you make a unique, eye-catching mouse even better? Make it white, and add in a bit of blue. Seriously. White seems to be a common trend in the industry and every second company is jumping on the bandwagon.<\/p>\n

Underneath the new coat of paint the R.A.T. 7 is still an amazing piece of kit, and can be yours for just shy of R1,000 locally.<\/p>\n

Beige and computer in the same sentence, makes you think of a mid-90s workstation doesn\u2019t it? The HD598s aren\u2019t a workstation, they\u2019re a high-end set of audiophile grade headphones, and they look fantastic.<\/p>\n

These ultra-comfortable, circumaural headphones come with \u201cwood\u201d accents, as well as compressed cellulose fleece to hold harmonic distortion to less than 0.1 percent – which is pretty good, apparently. The performance is right up there and, for the price, is a bargain. A tad over R3,700 will net you a pair.<\/p>\n

Corsair Vengeance K60<\/h3>\n

I really like the Vengeance K60 – it’s a solidly built gaming keyboard with actual usable features. The wrist grip is a lifesaver for extended gaming sessions, and the textured, coloured gaming keys make the board easy to use for the dedicated gamers.<\/p>\n

The brushed aluminium chassis looks solid and classy, and the extra set of gaming keys is great if you prefer a more subtle look. Around R1,300, locally, this an expensive but sexy option.<\/p>\n
