The quirky and, frankly, hilarious indie RPG featuring the tentacled Elder God of H.P. Lovecraftian fame, is heading over to the Apple<\/a> and Android<\/a> stores in the coming weeks.<\/p>\n

No exact date has been given yet, but “early this year” means soon.<\/p>\n

Cthulhu Saves the World sees our lovable bringer of eternal darkness waking up from his slumber, only to discover that his powers have been sealed away – and the only way to get them back is to, ironically, become a true hero.<\/p>\n

The game was met with huge success on the indie scene in 2010, making even bigger waves with its Steam<\/a> release last year – of course, if you’d prefer to stick to the Xbox LIVE<\/a> Arcade version of the game, then here’s some good news: it’s been discounted from the already low 240 Microsoft Points to a measly 80 points.<\/p>\n

So really, there’s no excuse not to get in on this.<\/p>\n

Presumably, the version of the game you’ll be getting is the updated and completely real – Cthulhu Saves the World: Super Hyper Enhanced Championship Edition Alpha Diamond DX Plus Alpha FES HD – Premium Enhanced Game of the Year Collector’s Edition (without Avatars!).<\/p>\n

Oh yes.<\/p>\n

As always, it’s doubtful this will turn up in the SA iTunes store, so don’t even bother looking out for it over there.<\/p>\n
