{"id":30238,"date":"2012-01-06T12:24:20","date_gmt":"2012-01-06T10:24:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/?p=30238"},"modified":"2012-01-06T12:26:18","modified_gmt":"2012-01-06T10:26:18","slug":"infinity-blade-banks-30-million-in-one-year","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/business\/30238-infinity-blade-banks-30-million-in-one-year","title":{"rendered":"Infinity Blade banks $30 million in one year"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Proving once again that people like pretending to slay monsters with axes and stuff, <em>raaaaarrghh<\/em>, <a title=\"Company Information\" href=\"http:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/forum\/showthread.php\/12081-Epic-Games\">Epic Games<\/a> has announced that the <a title=\"Term Information\" href=\"http:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/forum\/showthread.php\/20018-iOS\">iOS<\/a> Infinity Blade franchise has heaped $30 million into the company&#8217;s cash vault in just one year.<\/p>\n<p>More than $5 million of that was made off Infinity Blade II, which has been out for just over a month &#8211; putting the sequel on track to outsell the original.<\/p>\n<p>Other brand extensions include Infinity Blade: Awakening, a digital novella from best-selling author Brandon Sanderson; the Infinity Blade: Original Soundtrack; and Infinity Blade FX, a big-screen, coin-op version of the game.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe success of the Infinity Blade franchise is testament to our talented team who is devoted to making games we want to play, all while using Unreal Engine technology to redefine what is expected from games on iOS devices,\u201d said Epic Games prez Mike Capps in a press release. \u201cWe have so much more in store for players, and will continue to make great content for Apple\u2019s evolving platforms.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Infinity Blade III?
