Remember when some guy who works for Namco Bandai<\/a> said that if enough PC<\/a> gamers petitioned for their very own version of Dark Souls, that… well, he didn’t actually say it would happen, he just sort of very vaguely implied it.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere is always possibilities to have games adapted on PC and the good news is that Dark Souls is not a 100% typical Console game so the adaptation is possible,\u201d wrote community manager and English second language speaker Tony Shoupinou on the company’s forums. \u201cNow to make things happen, let\u2019s say the demand has to be properly done. someone to make a successful petition?\u201d<\/p>\n

“Honestly, I think this is an interesting request and that it deserves to be pushed. Namco have no position for now on this topic: PC versions are considered for many games but as PC is rarely the lead platform for the games released by the company, making PC version very often depends on signs that could come from users or from market globally,” he added.<\/p>\n

In response, PC gamers have started up a petition which – as of right now – has 44,473 signatures. You can sign the petition here – Dark Souls PC petition<\/a>.<\/p>\n

“PC gamers love unforgiving, hardcore games,” reads the petition blurb, automatically guaranteeing that all PC gamers will buy the game as long as it’s “sold at a reasonable price for a late port”. Which, as we all know, is exactly not<\/em> how the industry works, but let’s see what happens.<\/p>\n
