{"id":30399,"date":"2012-01-09T17:15:17","date_gmt":"2012-01-09T15:15:17","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/?p=30399"},"modified":"2012-01-09T20:30:54","modified_gmt":"2012-01-09T18:30:54","slug":"fastest-rising-gaming-search-terms-in-2011","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/business\/30399-fastest-rising-gaming-search-terms-in-2011","title":{"rendered":"Fastest rising gaming search terms in 2011"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>According to Googlezeitgeist.com, a site which tracks the most searched terms on <a title=\"Company Information\" href=\"http:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/forum\/showthread.php\/19988-Google\">Google<\/a>, \u201cBattlefield 3\u201d was the fifth fastest rising search term of 2011, coming in just below \u201cCasey Anthony\u201d, \u201cRyan Dunn\u201d, \u201cGoogle+\u201d and \u201cRebecca Black\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBattlefield 3\u201d managed to come in just ahead of \u201ciPhone 5\u201d, \u201cSteve Jobs\u201d and \u201c<a title=\"System Information\" href=\"http:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/forum\/showthread.php\/20717-Apple-iPad\">iPad 2<\/a>\u201d, and was the only video game search term that cracked the global top ten.<\/p>\n<p>Sadly, \u201cBattlefield 3\u201d did not crack the South African top ten searched terms, which were as follows:<\/p>\n<p>1.\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0WhatsApp<br \/>\n2.\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Rugby World Cup<br \/>\n3.\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Royal Wedding<br \/>\n4.\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<a title=\"Company Information\" href=\"http:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/forum\/showthread.php\/20155-Facebook\">Facebook<\/a><br \/>\n5.\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Amy Winehouse<br \/>\n6.\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Adele<br \/>\n7.\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Gadaffi<br \/>\n8.\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0iPhone 5<br \/>\n9.\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Velvet Sky<br \/>\n10.\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Steve Jobs<\/p>\n<p>Battlefield 3 also did not crack the top ten in the United States or the United Kingdom.
