{"id":30920,"date":"2012-01-17T23:30:26","date_gmt":"2012-01-17T21:30:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/?p=30920"},"modified":"2012-01-18T09:47:34","modified_gmt":"2012-01-18T07:47:34","slug":"q-u-b-e-makes-back-its-indie-fund-development-cash-in-four-days","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/business\/30920-q-u-b-e-makes-back-its-indie-fund-development-cash-in-four-days","title":{"rendered":"Q.U.B.E. makes back its Indie Fund development cash in four days"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Toxic Games&#8217; blockbusting puzzler Q.U.B.E. has recouped its development investment in just four days, and is now officially in big profit territory.<\/p>\n<p>The game is the first release backed by the Indie Fund, an initiative founded by a bunch of successful indie devs to help finance new indie devs, so as proof of concept goes, that&#8217;s worked out quite nicely.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn the short time that it\u2019s been available on Steam, Q.U.B.E. has sold over 12,000 copies,\u201d reads a notice on the Indie Fund website. \u201cIndie Fund recouped its investment in Q.U.B.E., and now we\u2019re looking forward to seeing what the future holds for Toxic Games.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur goal is to help developers get and stay independent and it will take some time to see if we\u2019ve achieved it.
