Final Fantasy versus XIII has been noticeably absent from any reports coming out of Square Enix<\/a> in the past year or so – and was most notably absent from E3<\/a> 2011.<\/p>\n

But lo, and behold! For Famitsu have not let fanboys of all things Final Fantasy down, by squeezing some info out of Tetsuya Nomura during a recent interview.<\/p>\n

Nomura was mostly talking about Kingdom Hearts 3D and Thearhythm Final Fantasy- but spilled some info about the elusive FFvXII.<\/p>\n

Nomura recently checked up on the game, and said that the visuals have improved since the trailer we last saw, and added that the game will have a mix of real-time and CG scenes.<\/p>\n

The Noctus (emo-looking protagonist) and Stella meeting scene, that was previously shown happening in real-time, has now been converted to a CG scene – seeing as having player control there is unnecessary.<\/p>\n

Nomura said there won’t be any Versus-specific event happening this year, but that there will be some sort of announcement or showing at some point.<\/p>\n

Better news: next time we see Versus, it will be shown in ACTUAL action, running on ACTUAL gaming hardware.<\/p>\n

So it might be real after all!<\/p>\n
