Improved! Now with more green!<\/em> Xbox dashboard update dropped last month, reports started circulating around the interwebs about problems with the video playback.<\/p>\n<p>More specifically, according to an investigation by Eurogamer&#8217;s Digital Foundry tech sorcerors, the video playback was running with &#8220;limited range RGB levels&#8221;, rendering the colour flat and desaturated.<\/p>\n<p>The issue was apparently also present during the dashboard beta in the month preceding its launch, raising questions of why it wasn&#8217;t fixed before launch.<\/p>\n<p>Microsoft&#8217;s response at the time was a sort of &#8220;SHH, SHHHHH, DON&#8217;T TELL&#8221;, accompanied by widespread deletion of complaints on their forums.<\/p>\n<p>Now Xbox LIVE boss Larry &#8220;Major Nelson&#8221; Hryb has finally acknowledged the issue, saying on Twitter that &#8220;We\u2019re aware of the colorspace issue w\/ some Xbox video apps &amp; are working on a fix.
